Do I get an official contract?
Yes, you do. You will get an official contract. We do not hire staff without any contract.
Note, For the canary islands, the minimum contract period is 6 months.

I am a sports entertainer, do I only do Sports?
No, all team members should work as a team, that means that you are flexible and help where needed.

Is it possible to work all over the year?
That depends on the available jobs in the winter. There are several hotels open during the winter.

What does the training course cost me?
Iberostar pays for the course, training material, hotel room with full board and insurance. Both flights, to come to your destination and at the end of the season to go back home, will be paid at the end of your contract.

This sounds like a free holiday?
If you think this, you better do not apply for this job. The course is hard work and very intensive. We expect all course participants to join all classes. Iberostar spends a lot of time and money in the education of their people, because we want to be the best! If we invite you to join or training course, we think that you fit in our team. Only if you act as a "tourist" and show no interest in the course, we must say "Adios" and all expenses will be yours.

How much luggage can I take with me?
That depends off course of the airline company. But if you tell them with a friendly face that you are going to work abroad for a longer time, you might be lucky and pay nothing extra.

Where do I live?
During the training course you share an apartment/room with another colleague. During the season, that depends on your final destination. Not all destinations have the same facilities.

Food and Beverage?
During your contract, you have 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. This includes the (nonalcoholic) drinks.

What do I pay for my drinks?
Nothing, you get a small book with tickets and you have 6 (nonalcoholic) drinks for free per day.

Do I have any holiday during my work as animator?
Under normal circumstances you cannot take any holidays during the season. (For family matters like a wedding, sickness etc. we make an exception). But as an employee you have a right to paid holiday, these days will be paid at the end of your contract.

Is there any possibility to work during the winter?
Yes there is! Iberostar is expanding and there are more and more opportunities to work also in the winter.

Do I get a work permit and do I get officially registrated in the country I am working in?
Yes, without a work permit you cannot work. During the course we take care of your papers and that you can start working from the first day without any problems.

Do I get a uniform and do I need to pay for it?
Yes you will get a (very nice) uniform and no, you do not need to pay for it.
